The '57 Chevy has been my favorite car since I was a kid but I didn't really start collecting stuff until I was in High School.  Now, the hobby has turned into an obsession...or maybe it's more of a sickness.  I can't go into a store without checking the toy section for new ones.  eBay doesn't help things a bit either.  Someday I hope to have my entire collection displayed but sadly, it's stored in bins, for now.  I created this website to help me keep track of what I have and to share my passion and collection with other enthusiasts.  I hope you enjoy it.

If you are interested in trading, check out the list of I have to trade.   If you have any questions, need help finding a particular '57 Chevy item, or want to do some trading, and I'll see if I can't help you out.

May 17th, 2009:
Wow, it's been almost a year since I did anything with this. I was having some issues with the site and didn't have time until recently to do anything about it. I added a few new cars I had lying around here. Several pieces went to storage before getting on here so I'll have to do those some other time. Nothing really new except for the black Larry's Garage hard top from Hot Wheels.

June 2nd, 2008:
Got the new Hot Wheels "4th of July" car in the mail. I actually got two of them as well as an extra Matchbox Taco Bell car which takes me over the 1000 '57s mark (including duplicates). One day I'll have 1000 unique '57s.....

June 1st, 2008:
Over the past couple of weeks I've found a couple 57s at a thrift store in the area and also my first 1/64 scale R/C car. I also finished my collection of the 1/64 scale Police USA series with the addition of the Colma Fire District variation that only comes with the 1/18 scale version of the car. Just recently had a friend send the yellow 57 from the Jada Toys "For Sale" series as well as the Racing Champions Mac Tools car from 2001. I have the new Hot Wheels "4th of July" car on the way which will make my 1000th 57 in my collection. (I'm pretty sure about that # anyway).

March 19th, 2008:
I was able to find time to fix the bugs in the new search engine and I'm happy to say that it's up and running! (click on the link above or to the left. It's a very simple search in that you can search key words and phrases but you can't create anything complex. I hope to have time to add an advanced search function to the site soon.

March 18th, 2008:
I've been working on a new search engine. Instead of the one currently available, this one will pull results directly from the database and will display them to look similar to the existing tables. This way you can easily find the exact car you are looking for. With the current search it only takes you to the page the car is on which isn't really that helpful since most of the time you know who makes a certain car and I already have them broken out on my site by manufacturer.

March 18th, 2008:
Added the new Hot Wheels Since '68 black and white '57 Chevy. Also the yellow Hot Wheels from the '50's Favorites 5-pack with the DW (Sawblade) wheels and the gray base. Last but not least, the Hot Wheels new casting Flying Customs in white with blue and red flames.

January 7th, 2008:
OK, I couldn't wait. All of the new items have been posted.

January 7th, 2008:
Well, my very good friend Felix just hooked me up with over 30 new items which I will be adding here shortly.

January 1, 2008:
Got some very nice gifts for Christmas this year. I got the Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Phoenix Mint convertible. Beautiful car. I also got the McDonalds "The Golden Arches Holidays" ornament.

November 15th, 2007:
Picked up two of the Classics Series 3 in the blue spectra-flame paint and 5-spoke redlines. Also picked up the Annual 2007 Chevy Classics magazine highlighting fifty years of the '57. Interestingly the table of contents page was inserted upside down and backwards so that it's at the back of the magazine.

October 26th, 2007:
I was at Toys R Us letting the kids pick up some stuff and I found two of the Hot Wheels '57s from Team: Engine Revealers series. I also pick up a Matchbox 5-pack with a dark blue convertible in it. There were several of those but I only grabbed one. Still looking for the '57 in Before '68 series.

September 9th, 2007:
Stumbled upon the Classics series 3 in Gold with ghost flames and 5-spk redlines. Very nice piece.

July 24th, 2007:
It's been awhile since I've made an update. I added the Sharper Image R/C car finally and also the "Go, Diego, Go!" '57 from the Nick Mobiles 5-pack.

February 2nd, 2007:
Finally got the Hot Wheels 4th Annual Collector's Nationals '57. Very nice piece. Also got the KB Toy Store Exclusive metalic green Hot Wheels. On the way soon will be the red 2003 Ronald McDonald House Charities car.

January 24th, 2007:
Just past the 500 mark for the diecast side of the collection! I now have the complete set of Holiday Rods and also a nice tin model display piece.

January 9th, 2007:
Went to Florida to visit family and picked up the 1/24 scale CarQuest '57. It's two-toned black and gray and has dice hanging from the rearview mirror. Very nice! Also go two of the Hot Wheels Custom Classics in red. There's a yellow one out as well but I haven't seen it yet. Also got another Hot Wheels Real Riders and was given some other cars I alread have as well as a very nice book covering the Tri-Chevy years.

December 30th, 2006:
Added my Christmas booty to the site. I got another 1/8 scale Muscle Machines R/C '57. This one was black. The only one I need now is the blue one and I'll have all four.

December 21st, 2006:
Looks like the new Ultra Hots for 2007 are out. The '57 is all red with Real Riders and chrome mags. Also look out for Custom Classics - Fresh Paint series 1. This series also has a '57 Chevy and it's sweet. It's solid red w/ large low-profile multi-spoke chrome rims.

December 6th, 2006:
Be on the lookout for the new Hot Wheels Holiday cars. There's a solid blue '57 Chevy in the old body style and red, green, and gold ones in the new body style. The blue on is actually on a different card than the others too.

August 11th, 2006:
JUST SPOTTED!!
There's a new Hot Wheels '57 Chevy out that is apparently limited to less than 2000 pieces. I don't have a pic on the site yet but a friend was lucky enough to get two of them at a K-Mart recently. It's the old body style and is all black with flames. It came in some sort of action set.

August 11th, 2006:
All of the cars I received are listed on the site. They include the two black Hot Wheels Treasure Hunts from last year, the white flamed Newsletter, two older Racing Champions dragsters, two Trace-Aces, and another pair of the Winner's Circle Cool Customs Earnhart Coke set for my friend's Coke collection.

August 4th, 2006:
I received the box containing severel new '57s mentioned below on July 6th. Things are hectic right now so I don't know when all them will be added or when I can get pics of them. I have a few up today.

July 24th, 2006:
Just got back from vacationing in St. Thomas and actually found a few '57s there. My wife found an American Classic 2-pack at a small convenience store (see the 'Other Diecast' page) and I picked up several at just one stop to one of the two K-Marts there: a second Turquoise Muscle Machines from the the 5th Anniversary series, another Hot Wheels Bone Blazers '57, and the new additions to the collection are the Johnny Lightning Zingers red Nomad and the Hot Wheels Track Aces with the 5-spokes. Not bad for a tiny island. I can't seem to do that well here at home.

July 8th, 2006:
Fixed the search page. I had to get rid of the Yahoo! search because it wasn't seeing my whole site; only a couple of pages. The new one is much more thorough. I also added some pics of a few very rare Hot Wheels. Check out 'The Gallery' to see them.

July 6th, 2006:
Just got the White Lightning version of the Milzone 'Flames' '57 and added it the site w/ pic. Also picked up and addeed the Hot Wheels Real Riders '57 Chevy. No pic yet for that one. Check back soon as I'm in the works of aquiring the Hot Wheels white flamed Newlsetter '57, the two latests Treasure Hunt variations, and a couple Racing Champions as well.

June 21st, 2006:
Just added a "Wanted" page so don't forget to check it out if you have any diecast '57s to sell.

June 13th, 2006:
Made a few updates recently. I added a section to feature other '57 Chevy collectors' collections. The first one listed above is amazing and probably second to none. Also, I've added some lists to the Hot Wheels and Johnny Lightning pages that you can download. They contain all of the '57 Chevys these companies have made to date, save for convention cars, promos, etc.

June 10th, 2006:
I've added the 30 new cars I got earlier this week including my first White Lightning. I don't have them listed down below in the "New Additions" section yet but I added several new Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightnings, Muscle Machines, and a few Matchbox. Pictures will come later when I get more time. Enjoy!

June 9th, 2006:
I finally got around to adding the guestbook entries back in from the old guestbook. I had one even prior to that awhile back but didn't save those. It would have been nice to get the whole history into the new one. I initially created '57 Heaven back in 1998 and had it hosted on Geocities for the longest time. This is the 3rd redesign of the site. I wish I had kept an archive of the other design so I could look back on them and see the changes the site has gone through over the years. Oh well.

June 5th, 2006:
Just received an email from a friend and fellow collector that a new Hot Wheels '57 Chevy will be released in the Track Aces series. It's #8 of 12 and is the old casting in white, red, and black with 5-spoke wheels. Very cool looking. I hope to get the pic up on the site soon.

June 5th, 2006:
Well my package was waiting for me when I got home from work so I will be listing all of them soon. I've added 2 of them but there are 29 more to list! I will be adding some Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning, Muscle Machines and a couple of Matchbox. I hope to have them up by this weekend. Getting the pics up will take more time.

May 30th, 2006:
Added four more items to the collections including the Hot Wheels Classics stunt set and an older Ertl 210 model. I will be featuring a friend's '57 Chevy collection that dwarfs mine so check back in a week or so (hopefully) to see what he calls "Chevyland".

May 26th, 2006:
Picked up 2 new Hot Wheels and a duplicate as well as a 1:24 scale R/C car by FastLane. I've picked up several new items over the last week or so and I'll be add them this weekend.

May 24th, 2006:
For some reason the Google hasn't spidered my site yet so the search I put on my site doesn't work. Bummer. I should have a working search feature up soon though.

May 16th, 2006:
Fixed the issue with the images and everything seems to be running smoothly. Check back soon for an image gallery that will display all of the images available on the site. Also, I just picked up some new '57s and will be adding those soon.

May 12th, 2006:
The list of my diecast '57 Chevy duplicates for trade is up and running. If you're interested in what I have, this is the easiest way to see them all. Go to the 'For Sale and Trade' page and click on the link from there.

May 11th, 2006:
You are now looking at the database-driven version of the site. It came much more quickly than I thought it would. The total number displayed in the 'Stats' area has gone down by about 20 from what I had listed previously because it's counting the actual numbers in the database. So, it looks like I need to find the missing items and add them in. One of the next additions will be a page of just my '57 Chevy duplicates I am willing to trade. Should make it a lot easier to find.

May 2nd, 2006:
My site is finally frames-free. I've been wanting to convert it to PHP for quite awhile and finally found the time to do it. On bonus besides being able to bookmark each page, is that it now looks good in both IE and Firefox. My next goal (which is in the works) is to get it database driven. No completion date yet on that.

April 19th, 2006:
Added a '57 Chevy pen and 3 magnets.

April 19th, 2006:
Well, after a very frustrating ordeal with my last host, I am finally back online! I will be adding a few new item soon.
